Absolutely the best place around. Very clean and scenic.
Stayed 5 days...not for excitement seekers, for an out of the way place to wind down, fills the bill perfectly...deer abundant, other wildlife to observe...very clean, well kept, well patrolled...park personnel helpful and pleasant to talk to...quiet and peaceful, gates locked at night...pit toilets rather nasty and not well cleaned, but shower house and restroom cleanliness makes up for it (in my book anyway)...lots of trails and wildlife viewing areas on grounds...don't fish, can't comment there...people we encountered there were friendly, will definitely go there again...we stayed in a travel trailer, facility can accommodate almost anything...
Great camping only 2 hours out from the city
Well maintained beautiful prairie park. Many places to picnic, and lots to see in the way of flora and fauna. The dogwoods are stunning in the spring.
